Scorch! Comics, your new local comic shop is finally opening on December 12th, and what better way to celebrate than with a HUGE grand opening!

To show everyone how excited they are to bring our collection of comics to the public, Scorch! Comics thought they’d bring along some friends and make it a day to remember!

They’ve got live music, performed by DREAM THEMES – Everyone’s Favourite TV Theme Covers Band!

They’ve also got four fantastic ARTISTS drawing SKETCHES & SIGNING ARTWORK:

For all you cosplayers out there they’re doing a COSPLAY COMPETITION, with fantastic PRIZES to be won!

If that wasn’t enough they’ve also got a TARDIS and a DALEK! AND you’ll be able to get your PHOTO TAKEN with them for free!

On top of all this, the Enterprise Centre is also having a WINTER WONDERLAND, with an old-timey fun fair, toffee apples, cotton candy & roasted chestnuts.

So come on down to the GRAND OPENING, it’s free and it’ll be a laugh!

INDIE HORROR DAY AT THE CAMDEN FILM FAIR!

Horror fans get your shriek on at the Camden Film Fair’s INDIE HORROR DAY on Saturday 12th December from 9.30am – 3.30pm! You’ll be able to meet some of the stars, directors and crew of award-winning short Seize the Night, US splatter movie Wrong Turn 6, British horror anthology Fragments of Fear and dark fantasy Serurta as well as extreme horror author Matt Shaw and Space Monsters Magazine publisher Cyberschizoid!

There will be signings and fan meets with gorgeous Emma Dark, handsome Anthony Ilott, sultry Merlyn Roberts, wolftastic Carey Thring, sexy Sharon O’Brien-Lumley and hunky Chris Hampshire.

There are also a whole ton of stalls specialising in movie memorabilia, horror merchandise, monster magazines, DVDs, posters, T-shirts, books and so much more for the dedicated film and horror fan and this all takes place at the legendary Electric Ballroom from 9:30am – 3:30pm – right next to Camden Town tube station – and the entrance is only £3 for adults!!!

The Camden Film Fair is looking to expand and is particularly interested in traders who deal in comics, vinyl (including movie soundtracks), movie related toys (including Star Wars and other fantasy blockbusters old and new), horror film clothing and collectibles and Manga merchandise so if you would like to book a stand or require more information just email Camden Film Fair at info@midnight-media.net – or you can call on 01832 731774 (10am – 6pm).

WYNTERCON IS COMING…!

Wyntercon is the premier multi-genre event on the South Coast of England. Now in it’s second year, boasting a bewildering array of attractions, events and fun for the whole family. If you’re into science-fiction, comics, steampunk, role-playing games, cosplay, classic horror or anything a bit out of this world, then there will be something for you!

Returning to the Winter Garden, in the heart of Eastbourne, this year’s convention takes place from 31st October to 1st November 2015 and is definitely THE place to be this Halloween!

Special guests include horror stars Caroline Munro (Dracula AD 1972, Maniac, I Don’t Want to be Born) and Emily Booth (The Horror Channel, Evil Aliens, Doghouse) alongside Farscape‘s Virginia Hey, Doctor Who‘s Terry Molloy, Red Dwarf‘s Norman Lovett, Space:1999 and Star Wars actress Pam Rose and many more!

Special attractions include the Classic Horror Zone sponsored by Space Monsters, Cosmo’s Toys and Shocker Magazine; Tim Burton’s Batmobile; the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones and the ED-209 robot from Robocop!

You will also find tons of comic book artists; more special guests (including publisher Dez Skinn and author Robert Rankin); a myriad of merchandise stalls; interactive and creative events for the kids; Cosplay Competitions and much more!

In the evenings there are separate events – The Retro Alien Invasion Cabaret on Friday 30th October and The Wyntercon Halloween Party on Saturday 31st October hosted by Horror Host and actress Bunny Galore – so dress to impress!

“MONSTER MARKET” – OPEN FOR TWO WEEKS ONLY! SPECIAL EVENT!

Space Monsters Magazine and Wyntercon are set to invade the first birthday celebrations of London Road’s Open Market with a feast of beasts, babes, and B-movies!

The Monster Market runs from July 18^th through to July 31^st inclusive from 10am to 5pm daily (closed Sundays). The stall includes a host of movie and television memorabilia, posters, DVDs and books, as well as Space Monsters Magazine and Space Monsters t-shirts. Many of these will be in exclusively discounted bundles or limited editions.

The stall will also be promoting the second annual Wyntercon.

Wyntercon is Eastbourne’s award-winning, multi-genre convention, encompassing fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and alternative culture for fans of all ages. Set in the historic and picturesque Winter Gardens, the convention runs from October 31st through to November 1st, and will feature a Magic: The Gathering tournament. Confirmed guests so far include comic artist Richard Starkings, publishing legend Dez Skinn, horror stars Caroline Munro and Emily Booth, genre entrepeneurCyberschizoid and actors Virginia Hey, Terry Molloy, Spencer Wilding, Pam Rose and Julian Seager.

MONSTERS, ALIENS AND SUPERHEROES PREPARE TO INVADE EASTBOURNE!

The sleepy seaside resort town of Eastbourne on Britain’s south coast is preparing for an invasion; an invasion of horror movie stars, Doctor Who monsters, superhero cosplayers, comic book artists, celebrity guests, cult movie screenings and an army of genre fans, geeks and geekesses! They will all be heading to Eastbourne to take part in Wyntercon 2014, a massive multi-genre convention which encompasses horror, sci-fi, fantasy, superheroes, comics and more over three days from Friday 31st October – Sunday 2nd November.

As well as all the merchandise stalls, panels, celebrity signings, Laser Quest and cosplay taking place during the daytime, there are some pretty awesome events happening on Friday and Saturday evenings as Wyntercon takes over the whole town! On Friday night you won’t want to miss the Halloween Masquerade Ball on Eastbourne Pier! Saturday evening Wyntercon takes over the entire three-screen independent Curzon Cinema with a slew of cult movie screenings including Blade Runner, Dark Crystal, classic horror and brand new sci-fi shocker Hungerford! There will also be an alternative music night featuring live bands and DJ and free entry to the local TJ’s Nightclub!
