Space Monsters magazine launched this summer to much critical acclaim and commercial success and we are looking to expand our readership even more in 2014. We are looking for independent comic, sci-fi and book stores across the UK (and overseas) who are interested in selling Space Monsters to their customers through their high street or online shops. As an added incentive, we are offering a free advertisement in our next available issue for any shops which sell Space Monsters magazine as well as supporting promotions through our websites and social media outlets reaching thousands of sci-fi and horror fans.

Space Monsters is published quarterly (in January, April, July and October) by Cyberschizoid Publishing and is aimed at fans of classic sci-fi, horror and fantasy in films and television. A fun read for all ages, Space Monsters is 80 pages of retro reviews, interviews, rare stills, exclusive artwork, in-depth features and more. Published in an easy-to-carry A5 format, Space Monsters is the perfect companion for those long bus, train and car journeys and is also available in  full-color digital format from the Dead Good Newsstand.

Since its launch, Space Monsters has attended and supported many horror and sci-fi events including FILM4 FrightFest, the Bram Stoker International Film Festival, the British Horror Film Festival, Hammer Horror Day and Emporiumacabre. Hey Space Monsters fans! There’s nothing we like better than a good old giant monster movie and there is arguably none more iconic than the King of the Monsters himself – Godzilla! With a brand new Hollywood remake looming on the horizon Space Monsters magazine will be looking back at the first thirty years of Godzilla movies in issue four early next year and we’d like you to tell us your favourite classic Godzilla movie in our exclusive poll!

Cinema Surgery is a cool new horror event launching in Bournemouth on Sunday 19th January 2014 – from 10am to 4pm there will be a movie and TV Memorabilia Fair with stands selling videos, DVDs, books, magazines, posters, stills, clothing and much more – entry just £3.00!!  There are still a few slots open for those wishing to have a stall at the Memorabilia Fair so just email Gary Baxter at Cinema Surgery (gsbaxter303@hotmail.com) if you’re interested – and the great news is, there’s NO CHARGE to have a stall! Fang-tastic!

There will also be special guests Caroline Munro (Dracula AD1972, The Spy Who Loved Me, Golden Voyage of Sinbad, Maniac), Emily Booth (Horror Channel, Evil Aliens, Doghouse, Inbred), Damien Thomas (Twins of Evil, Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger, Blakes 7) and Space Monsters Magazine‘s very own Cyberschizoid (Classic Horror Campaign, Frighten Brighton, British Horror Film Festival).

From 5pm – 8pm there will be a special screening of two Caroline Munro movies followed by a Q & A with the star herself. Up first is the Bournemouth premiere of brand new horror short The Landlady and this is followed by a special presentation by Arrow Video of Munro’s classic 80′s slasher Slaughter High – all this for only a fiver – tickets available on the day, first come, first served.
